Autarquia and Pró-empresa bring together entrepreneurs to “socialize” financing opportunities

Impulsiona is the Supplier Development Program for the Tourism and Blue Economy sector, coordinated by Pró Empresa and financed by the World Bank and the Government of Cape Verde.

Sandra Borges, who was speaking to the media, on the sidelines of a meeting held today with young entrepreneurs, at the city council, explained that they are investing in these two areas, because, according to her, they are the ones that have the most potential at the moment to generate jobs, income and that the island itself can also respond to the outside world.

“The Impulsa Program has the advantage of internally improving the capacity of companies, namely financially and quality of service provision, to be able to compete with other suppliers, whether national or international, and thus be able to effectively enter into the supply of tourism and the economy”, he explained.

He further stated that the objective is to support the development of national Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs), especially those led by women, across the country, through a set of technical assistance financing solutions, business training and reinforcement of capabilities to access credit.

In turn, entrepreneur Kelvem Patrick considered it to be a “valid” project for everyone who owns a business, taking into account that at this meeting they acquired a lot of information that will be extremely important.

“The project encourages us to have more ideas, but they also made technicians available to support us in the companies and today I could see that there are many ideas covered in the project, for those who want to be part of it”, he concluded.
